Hoover vs. King: The ARRB Documents

Written by
Jim DiEugenio re-examines the battle between J. Edgar Hoover and Martin Luther King before and after Kennedy's assassination. With new documents he shows that Hoover interceded overseas in order to smear King and limit his interaction with foreign dignitaries.
Jim DiEugenio chronicles the media cover-up of the conspiracy verdict in the civil suit brought against Loyd Jowers by attorney William Pepper on behalf of the Martin Luther King Jr. family. Although the 12 jurors found Jowers liable for King’s death, the New York Times reported that “a vast conspiracy [was] alleged but not proved.” As Jim surveys the rest of the coverage, this editorial position in a news story is endemic of the mainstream media reporting on this case in general and this trial verdict in particular.

Deconstructing Kowalski

Written by
According to the King Report, James Earl Ray was the lone assassin – and anyone who says otherwise is crazy, a liar, or just out for the money. This is a scary message, especially if you are an outspoken witness with a different point of view, a member of the King family, or a skeptic conducting research into the King assassination, writes Douglas Valentine.

Jim DiEugenio shows how the major media twists and distorts the evidence to downplay the incredible significance that a jury found that there had been a conspiracy to assassinate Dr. Martin Luther King, and that Loyd Jowers was involved.
Lisa Pease wonders aloud why the major media have given next to no attention to the only serious trial to ever have been conducted regarding the assassination of Martin Luther King. Pease pulls together the little information that has come out to present to the readers what the major media isn't telling them.
Mike Vinson contributed this interesting article about how Jerry Ray, James Earl Ray's brother, has been attempting to gain possession of the alleged murder weapon in order to do legitimate testing on the rifle. Ray is convinced a genuine test would clear his brother's name in terms of the shooting of Martin Luther King.
